Reporting Server - where to start

Ok so we are looking at putting up a server to which we can use spotfire to hit for reporting. We are thinking of doing this so it will not impact our current production altiris server.

I have been googling to no avail. Anyone have any links, tech info or personal experience, Id appreciate it.
