Wondering if there is a way to run a patch as a task without packaging it up myself as a normal deliverable software?
The reason I ask is now that MS has cumulative patches for Win7 and 10 I'd like to have my image jobs run the cumulative patch as the final task in the job rather then wait for the normal patch management process to scan the system and determine its needed etc etc. I know I will have to change this task on a monthly basis to accomidate whatever the latest cumulative patch is but thats a pretty simple change.
We have always just relied on patch management to take a little time to patch a new machine up to date when its a fresh image, so not huge if there is no way but thought it would help make sure freshly imaged machines aren't vulnerable without having to update the entire ghost image.
