Greetings all;
We would like to export the contents of the Software Catalog so that we may have some reports to discuss why some software has been moved to Managed or Unmanaged, and if we should consider a change as our environment evolves. I thought this would be such an easy thing to accomplish but I keep hitting walls and need to ask for help.
I started by running an "Installed Software by Product" report, but the "type" parameter only has 2 selections, "All Software", and "Managed Software". Originally I thought this was my answer since I just exported these 2 reports and used excel to pull out unique values which I assumed would make up the "Unmanaged" portion I was missing. This proved to be in error though since removing "Managed Software" from "All Software" does not match what I see in the Software Catalog when I view the "Unmanaged Software" section.
Is there a report, trick, or technique that can get me a list of the current contents of the 3 fields in the Software Catalog? (i.e. "Newly discovered software", "Managed software", and "Unmanaged software") Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
