Quick links in lower left hand corner of CMS 7.x

I find these very helpful.  I don't mind the web interface for CMS 7.x, but saving clicks is never a bad thing.

There is no way to customize them is there?  There's an empty bar there, I'd love to get Filters down there.

I created an idea but it occurred to me I should post here if by any chance it's possible already.
