Connecting CMS to our ticketing system

Our webhelpdesk ticketing system allows imports of client data from databases (we can import client data from our mac management system pretty easily, not Altiris).  Can someone help me to set this up to get our clients from CMS into webhelpdesk?

I found this prior post for what I assume is the 6.x way to make it work.  Looking to try to make this work with 7.5+

Is the server name symantec_cmdb?  how would I go about setting up a user that only has the rights it would need for this?
